Walk the entire site with the client.

Identify areas for potential improvements such as patios, planting beds, walkways, or drainage solutions.
Take basic measurements of the yard and key areas.
Note property boundaries, structures, fences, and utilities.
Assess important factors such as:
Grading and slope
Drainage issues
Soil conditions
Sun and shade patterns
Existing plants and trees
Irrigation system (if any)
Determine equipment access points.
Identify any obstacles like narrow gates, slopes, or overhead lines.
Take photos of the property for reference.
Document measurements, conditions, and client requests.
Share initial ideas or recommendations.
Suggest materials, plant types, or layout options.
Explain the design or estimate process.
Tell the client when they can expect the proposal, design, or quote.

This first meeting helps the landscaper gather all the information needed to create a proper landscape plan, accurate estimate, and realistic project scope.
Step 02
• Create an initial design concept based on the client’s preferences and site conditions.
• Select themes, color schemes, plant types, and hardscape elements (patios, pathways, etc.).
• Consider functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in the design.
Step 03
• Develop a detailed layout with plant placements, hardscapes, irrigation, and lighting.
• Use sketches, digital renderings, or 3D models to help visualize the final look.
• Adjust based on client feedback and refine the plan.
• Choose high-quality plants, pavers, mulch, lighting, and other materials.
• Ensure materials are suitable for the climate and maintenance preferences.
Step 04
• Provide an estimated cost breakdown for materials, labor, and maintenance.
• Establish a realistic timeline for project completion.
Step 05
• Begin site preparation (grading, excavation, irrigation setup, etc.).
• Install hardscape elements such as patios, retaining walls, and walkways.
• Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and apply mulch or sod.
• Install lighting and other final touches.
Final Step
• Review the completed project with the client to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide guidelines for landscape maintenance to keep the yard in top shape.
• Offer ongoing maintenance services if needed.
